    Lake Rotomanu freedom

    Love it here, our old neighbourhood. Right nex to the lake, 3 nights in 30 days stay. There are 2 areas, 1 up by the toilets 4 spaces for non selfcontained and down by the boat ramp for selfcontained. Can get very busy here. There are 2 rubbish bins here. Wireless nation good along with cell cover. Lovely walk around the lake or take a bike ride along the coastal walkway.Les mer

    Greenwood rd freedom

    What a stunning spot at the beach. Yes its on the side of the road but its a country rd, pack in pack out here guys, a small amount of wireless nation and spark signal. 3 nights max stay. Yes pets allowed but please pickup after them. This is one of the freedom spots that may soon be lost so make sure you are csc and use it dont use the bushes. RESPECTLes mer

    Otaki beach

    Right on the beach, what more could you ask for, fish you say! Yes that to, Red cod and shark chomped this time here. Not the best spot in strong winds, not that we have struck that.
    2 nights stay, pack in pack out, wireless nation and spark work well here.Les mer

    Weedons nzmca park

    Just spent the last few nights here, used the washing machine a couple of times. Was raining when we arrived so the ground is drying out still. Never seen the park so empty.
    Wifi works well here, spark phone not the best. Toilets, washing machine and dryer, rubbish and dump station on site.Les mer

    Marfells beach doc camp

    We like it here, plenty of room here, even 5th wheelers will fit, theres a turning bay at the end. Water and 2 toilet blocks, cold showers. Pack in pack out. Walk to the lighthouse ( to far for bad knees) or about 1.5ks the other way to the old pier, or cheat and drive lol, nice deep water for fishing at the pier. We found an Injured pleasant so rung spca whom came and caught her with our help. We stayed here October last year when we meet Tasman Travels that we had been following for sometime. So you never know where you may bump into us.Les mer

    Rarangi doc camp

    2nd time here, still as good as our frist visit. This is a paid doc camp or use doc pass. There are walking tracks, good fishing beach. There is plenty of room here for mohos, caravans even tents as there are 2 toilet blocks here, 1 cold shower. There is water onsite but should be boiled for drinking. Pack in pack out.Les mer

    Frenbrae Farms ltd Pop

    Fab spot next to the water ( well when the tide is in), at low tide you can walk all the way out to the waters edge all 1.2 kms. Only 10 mins back to collingwood, not much there, or 5 mins up the road to Pakawau, nice beach for fishing. Good wireless nation and ohone cover here. Pack in pack out, 4 nights max stay. Free to stay here, just pick a paddock and enjoy. We stayed longer due to the strong winds.Les mer

    Nzmca app says this is a free pop, sign in in old caravan has bank details or there is a box to make payment of $6 per night. This is really nice here, sheltered with all the fruit trees, parks are grass or gravel, there is water taps dotted along, also sections are devided up with fruit trees, oranges, feijoas, lemons. So peaseful here and you can stay upto 2 months. Dump station is about 10 mins away. Bout 10 mins drive into town.Les mer

    Canvastown

    Canvastown a sweet little spot to stay right behind the pub. Nothing else here. Peasefull little town just out of Havelock. The pub does meals and gets very busy along with the camping area. Just had 5 nights here. Pack in pack out, phone and wifi work great. Dump station back up the road in Havelock or 17 mins down the road. Chickens running around, very cool.

    Conway Flat POP

    Back at Conway Flat, we liked this place last time we stopped here. We went for a fish, this time with the drone, flew out between 200 - 350mtrs only to catch spiky sharks that we put back.
    The following day was abit of van maintenance, and as there is water here ( to the left of gate as you drive in ) I got our washing done. $10 per night per van , pay online or leave money in box at gate. Phone and wifi cover here is good.Dont forget if you stay here you need to pack in pack out.Les mer
