    Moose stew and blueberry cake

    September 9, 2023 in Sweden ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

Our alarm rang early so that after a good breakfast outside we were ready to leave for Lund, famous for the amount of universities. Since we went there on a Sunday morning it looked quite peaceful and even a bit sleepy. We walked around the park, looked at some old and famous buildings and had a coffee. After we had at walked every street at least twice, we drove to Ystad, a city in the southern part of Sweden in Skåne, where we met Pentti and Britt. They showed us around in the small city starting off with the monastery garden. It was very interesting too see, smell and even taste some of the herbs the monks used for making medicine. They showed us the main streets, some typical old buildings and a church, while we were talking and catching up on the past year(s) we hadn’t seen eachother. We were invited to stay at their lovely home over night and have dinner with them. Pentti and Britt prepared moose stew with potatoes which I had never had before and was absolutely delicious. For dessert she had prepared a very tasty blueberry cake, of course glutenfree:) We talked for the rest of the evening and went to sleep in our camper which we were allowed to park in their beautiful garden.Read more
