Yellowstone / West Entrance

Tuesday May 6th
Last night we stayed at West Entrance which is the town outside of the Yellowstone West entrance!! Confusing not!
Well after the heavy snow of the night before we woke to sunny skies again. We drove back into the park in the morning to take the road down to Old Faithful. We stopped to check out various hot pools and volcanic mud eruptions along the way. Just got to old faithful in time for the hourly eruption. Wasn't planned just lucky. On the way back got stuck in a bison road jam. Bison have right of way and sometimes they just walk on the road and hold up the traffic both ways.We were lucky and only two cars back from them but their was a huge line of cars behind us. Left Yellowstone after lunch and headed down to Lava Hot Springs for the night. Yes another hot spring town and this time we stayed at a very old historic hotel with private mineral baths. Forgot to take pics. We booked a bath for 8pm and collapsed into a stuporic coma afterwards.!!! No posting last night.Leia mais
