Auckland - Omaha Beach - Paihia

Long day. We went to the Auckland Maritime Museum and saw historic and recent sailing NZ achievements - the Maori's amazing journeys to NZ & NZ's America's cup winning boat etc. Got on the road north, first to Omaha Beach to visit our ex-SB friends who are happy to be NZ residents; they still come back to SB for biz. Spectacular views from their home on top of the hill overlooking the ocean and enjoyed a lovely lunch at a nearby restaurant. Then a beautiful drive up to the Paihia in Bay of Islands; lovely area with numerous beaches. Sadly the weather is unseasonably cold and overcast :-( We got in too late to see too much but will check it tomorrow.....Okumaya devam et
