Rocky Mountain Sisterhood

We made it almost to the Alpine Visitor Center, but suddenly, at around 11,500 feet it began to sleet and snow. It was accumulating quickly on the road and the motorcyclists were stopped, blocking traffic. As we were on a narrow mountain road with steep cliffs and no shoulders or blockades, there was no place to turn around until Gore Range. We were slipping and sliding around before we got the Forerunner in 4x4. At Gore Ridge there was about 10 inches of snow off the side of the path so I did a snow angel. The only wildlife we saw today was a chipmunk. We made it safely down the mountain, but our time in the park was cut short. Headed back to Denver now.Baca selengkapnya
