1066 Battle of Hastings Abbey 🏹⚔️🕊️

Our last trip to celebrate the Fourth of July was a battleground, where ironically the British lost 🫢 This place is the Battle of Hasting in the year 1066, which after it was taken over was converted into an Abbey to make up for the bloodshed that had occurred here!! Within the Abbey ground now, in the present, is a private school for K-12, all that remains of the Abbey ground (otherwise known as the precinct) is the outer wall, ruins of the Abbey, and the defensive outer gate!! 🛡️ This place had very interesting history and it was super interesting that it is now utilized as a private boarding school!Read more
