    Our plane made it across the pond!! Made it through the airport without any issues, found our luggage, and went to get our rental car! 🚗 That is when the next set of fun began, driving on the other side of the road having to go km per hour 😅😅 It was a blast!!! We made it to our hotel and got checked in!!! So excited to be here!!! 😁Lue lisää

    Our Adventure Last Night

    We went searching for Fish n Chips around our hotel and came up empty 😅 Then on our way back we found a cute little cake place, got some wood grilled pizza at our hotel restaurant 🍕 🍰 It was an amazing first meal to have while mapping out our next days adventure!!! Stay Tuned 😁🤘🏻Lue lisää

    Our drive to Western England!!

    Hunter’s already driving like a British man!! 🤩We felt like we were driving sooooo slow compared to other cars, and it took us a second to figure out that the speed limits here are in mph not kph 😂😂 but the scenery is beautiful and everything is so green here!!     STONEHENGE 🤩🤩

    We made it to our first historic destination!!! 🤩 STONEHENGE!!!! It was amazing, so crazy how these stones were carried and placed here!! 🤯 There was a lot of cool history we learned, and a cool exhibition about the evolution of Stonehenge!!!     Driving to Bath!!! 🚙 🛁😁

    After our visit to Stonehenge, we decided to take our adventure further west to the city known for its Roman baths!! The city named… BATH!!! 🛁 we passed through beautiful towns and rolling farm hills!! Once we crested the final hill we had the camera rolling because it was BREATHTAKING!! 😮 You could see the town filling the hillside with cathedral spires and the Abbey spire breaking up the skyline in absolutely beautiful view that left you in AWE!!! 🤯😁Lue lisää

    Bath! 🇬🇧 Thai, Fudge, and Butcombe!

    After parking our car and taking the bus down into Bath, our next stop was lunch!!! 🍽️ the restaurant we found was a cute Thai food restaurant 🇹🇭 we of course got Massaman curry (this one had hints of cinnamon though), it was delicious 😋 we then proceeded to tour around the city of Bath, visiting the Royal Crescent, Bath Circus (the panoramic with the tree in the middle, St. Michaels Cathedral, an amazing homemade fudge factory (the bronze bowl is them making some fresh fudge, you know we got some 😋), and we visited the Bath Abbey in the center of town!!     Castle Combe, England’s fairytale town!✨

    Our next stop was the fairytale village of Castle Combe, a cute, quiet little town 30 minutes outside of bath, the rod up to the town and the Main Street were something out of storybook 📕 ✨ 🤴👸 After exploring around this fun, quaint little town we stopped in at the Castle Inn, before hiking back-up to our car, we stopped for a delicious cup of Hot Chocolate 🍫 ☕️ All-inAll, storybook Castle Combe provided us a fun end to our adventures for today!! Check-in for next adventure tomorrow!!

    Churchill’s fish and chips 🐟 🍟

    So today we had planned on going to Windsor Castle, Oxford University, and Hampton Courts, but our alarm didn’t go off and we woke up just after 12pm!! So we decided to have a day in and end the day with a round of fish and chips in the lovely town of Uxbridge 😋🐟🍽️ We know today was kind of a boring day to follow us around, but don’t worry, you won’t be disappointed tomorrow 😉🏰🤯Lue lisää

    Dover Castle Grounds 🏰 🤯

    Hunter’s first castle and his mind was BLOWN!! 🤯🤯 DOVER CASTLE was by FAR the best thing we have seen so far on our trip!! 😁 Walking through the castle grounds, watching Hunter, he was like a kid on Christmas!!! 🥹 Don’t even get me started when he saw the TREBUCHET…. You’d thought he died and gone to Heaven 🥹🤩 My wifey heart was so full of pure joy watching Hunter go through these castle grounds!! 🥹😍 This castle was amazing, it served as a fort/bunker during both WWI and WWII, and served as a base of operations during the evacuation of Dunkirk!! The history of this castle was SO cool!!!Lue lisää

    Dover Castle underground tunnels 🪖🪖🪖

    We continued our adventure on the castle grounds going through secret medieval, WWI, and WWII tunnels!! 🤫 In some of the places we weren’t allowed to take pictures (the tour guide may or may not have scolded us at the start of the tour 😅) It was so amazing though being within the castle walls, walking through these passageways!!     Dover Medieval Castle Exterior

    Words cannot describe how COOL this castle was!!! 🏰😁 The castle was tiered like castles you would see in movies about the medieval era, where the road just continued up until the center where the king’s tower was located 👑 Going through the streets, up the stone steps, and across drawbridges to finally make it to the central castle tower was an experience that will be unforgettable 😁 We hope you can get a glimpse of how magical this experience was!!! 🤩🏰🥹Lue lisää

    Dover Medieval Castle Interior

    WE MADE IT INTO THIS MAGNIFICENT CASTLE!!! 🤩🤩🤩 Let’s just say the interior and the battlement (top of the tower) did not disappoint, the view was breathtaking 😮🤯 We went from room to room in the castle, from the castle chapel, to the throne room, the master bedroom, up the turrets, to the banquet hall, and finally the kitchen!! We also made a stop in the armory to fit ourselves with some medieval shields (they had some weight to them 🛡️💪🏽). Being in the castle was like something from a fairytale, but we will say, the people living in the castle had to have solid leg muscles, our legs were burning after hiking up and down the two turrets to get to get through the castle!!! 😂😂Lue lisää

    White Cliffs of Dover 🗻🗻🌊

    We ended our day in Dover by going to the iconic White Cliffs of Dover!! 🗻 The view was beautiful, with the Cliffs and the English Channel making a very picturesque shot!! 📸 We hiked in about a mile, felt our legs burning from our castle adventure and decided we had done enough 😅😂 We ended the day with a piping hot cup of hot chocolate to warm ourselves up while watching ships enter the harbour 🚢🛳️

    Canterbury Cathedral 🕊️

    Our first stop today after leaving our fairytale lodge was Canterbury Cathedral!! 🕊️ This place was stunning, it was a beautiful and a very sacred site full of a lot of early history of the church in England!!     St. Augustines Abbey 🪨🙏🏼

    After the beautiful Canterbury Cathedral, we visited the ruins of St. Augustine’s Abbey, St. Augustine was the person who initially started Canterbury Cathedral!! Walking around the ruins was super interesting, it was so cool to see the foundation of certain rooms and see ruins of rooms like the crypt!! It was a fun historical site to visit! 😁Lue lisää

    Walmer Castle and Gardens 🏰 🌺

    We made it to our second CASTLE!!! 🏰😁 This castle, however, is more like a vacation, villa castle, with a beautiful walking garden and Victorian themed interior 😁 we are coming to learn that each castle has a personality, Dover was battle castle and Walmer is a villa, vacation, beachside castle!!! 🏝️ 🌊 🏰 very different experience from yesterday, but very awesome!! The pond with the arches is a garden that was given to Queen Elizabeth and the interior of the castle gave us a crash course history lesson on the Duke of Wellington! 🇬🇧 this castle was very interesting and we tried English scones for the first time at the castle, and they were delicious 😋 we will definitely be trying scones again!!! 😁😁 an amazing experience today!!

    Stable Courtyard B&B Leeds Castle 🏡🏰

    For our stay Monday night we decided to have some fun and stay on the grounds of Leeds Castle!! 🏰🤩 We stayed in cute Stable Courtyard Bed and Breakfast 🏡 It was a cute, magical place to stay with a fun bedroom setup, a gorgeous bathroom, and fun view of the gardens!! 😁 For breakfast today, on the Fourth of July we had Eggs Benedict, which were delicious, definitely one of TOP meals in England so far!!! 😋🤩 We ate breakfast at the Castle View restraint, our view is in the second to last photo!! It was such a fun place to stay the night before starting our days journey at Leeds castle!!! 😁😁Lue lisää

    Bodiam Castle 🏰

    Our next castle of the day, Bodiam Castle, our iconic sand castle structure!! 🤩 We hope you are enjoying seeing these amazing structures, they are all so beautiful and unique!! 😁 This castles history is that a billionaire pillager/knight wanted to impress his heiress wife and friends so he got permission to build his mansion, AKA this beautiful castle!! 😅😁 While it has fallen to ruin a little because of being built from sandstone, this castle with its amazing moat, was stunning!!! 🏰🤩 it was the smallest castle we have visited, but it was such an iconic, gorgeous looking castle!! 😁Lue lisää

    1066 Battle of Hastings Abbey 🏹⚔️🕊️

    Our last trip to celebrate the Fourth of July was a battleground, where ironically the British lost 🫢 This place is the Battle of Hasting in the year 1066, which after it was taken over was converted into an Abbey to make up for the bloodshed that had occurred here!! Within the Abbey ground now, in the present, is a private school for K-12, all that remains of the Abbey ground (otherwise known as the precinct) is the outer wall, ruins of the Abbey, and the defensive outer gate!! 🛡️ This place had very interesting history and it was super interesting that it is now utilized as a private boarding school!Lue lisää
