C-Traveler is all loaded and hooked up to the pickup. I'll leave tomorrow morning for the 348 mile drive to Little Sand Bay Campground, where I'll launch. That is on the north side of the peninsula that Bayfield is on, near Point Detour. I like to launch there as there is plenty of long term rig parking. Ie, A week or two has never been an issue. However, being on the north side it is fairly open to northerlies, and if the wind is blowing much, it can get rough to get into the small harbor there. Just plan to do a week of cruising around the islands and lighthouses and do some trolling for Lake Trout. Some of you may be aware of the issues I've had with the rubber bushings on my trailer brakes. This trip I will be testing out a modification I made to the brakes on one axle. On those calipers, I replaced the rubber bushings with some bronze bushings that are a pretty good fit.Read more
