Five day hike staying at Central Whirinaki hut, Upper Te Hoe hut, Mangakahika hut and Moerangi hut. It was due to rain heavily on day five so we spent an extra night at Moerangi and had fine weather the other days. It was very difficult on day two with the climb up to Upper Te Hoe hut taking over ten hours which meant we had to finish in the dark. Although it was really nice old forest.
