Camino Baztan

Back home now...
So yesterday late morning I went by bus to Bilbao. It was raining so for ages I hung about the Estación de Autobuses. When the rain stopped I walked about outside a bit. In the end I discovered a left luggage place within the Estación which I could/should have found earlier and have used to be able to get about a bit more. At 9:20 pm my bus left for Rennes to arrive punctually at 8:05 am. Breakfast in the Rennes railway station which I love - it is very modern, very spacious and light with many places to sit, all of them equipped to recharge the equipment without which one cannot live any longer. In the summer in addition to the year round seating there are light foldable deckchairs everywhere.
So after almost two hours for my breakfast I got the TGV (train grande vitesse) to Guingamp where I took the local train to Lannion. End of travel.
From there friends took me straight to a very good lunch in a restaurant - a fitting end to such a pleasant camino!

With Alison a month ago we walked from Saarbrücken to Metz. After the stress fracture in my foot on the Fisherman's trail half a year ago that walk gave me back some of my confidence. With Alison we were extremely careful not to overdo it - this time I was already in better shape at the beginning and getting better every day.

So thank you to both my daughters for taking such good care of me and putting me back on my feet!Meer informatie
