    Day 41: Last day in Canada

    Enobong left for America this morning.

    I didn't nothing but just lazy around all morning. In the afternoon I decided to pack and weight my suitcase, alas both suitcase were overweight.

    At 5:30pm I called an Uner to take me to the kids apartment.

    We ordered meals from an African restaurant and enjoyed a game of Ludo in the apartments penthouse as it was raining and we couldn't use the rooftop.    Read more

    Day 42: Departing Canada

    June 15 in Canada ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C

    Woke up at 6am to get ready. My initial plan was to leave at 9am due to some confusion about cancelled 1st leg flight, but I saw a check in email message from the airline so I relaxed and used the extra time to get ready, eat the potatoes + chicken meal I had bought at Walmart days back, carefully comb through the apartment of any of my things, emptied the trash before finally repacking and weighing my suitcases.

    At 10am I called an Uber to take me to the airport. The Uber driver was a Senegalese who was really interested in why Nigeria hasn't achieved develop status and greatness with all the oil money we have made. So I took him through a comprehensive history of Nigeria. He was most grateful when he dropped me off at the airport.

    Checkin at the counter was smooth, my suitcases were lighter than what I had weighed. Flight from Ottawa to Toronto took off on time.    Read more
