DAY 3 Belmont Mansion, Downtown, Museums

What a day. We took the hop-on- hop-off bus to tour the city. Belmont Mansion, the largest mansion house in TN. Built by Adelicia Acklen, the richest women and forward thinking. Maddie was afraid to use the Mansion's potty, chicken. Had to shop for a cowgirl hat and see the honkytonks. The Parthenon is the "Athens of the South" and an exact Greek replica. The Athena statue is 42 ft in the Parthenon, but Maddie shines brighter. In Centennial Park, a statue of both Black and white suffragists backing the 19th Amendment.Read more
