Today, we travelled to Shingu to boat down the Kumano River. This was another way the pilgrims on the Kumano Kodo Trail could complete their pilgrimage.

I found it quite confronting, seeing an estimated 1000 tuna for sale.

Today, we travelled to Kobe.
We decided to have a Kobe black beef steak for dinner. It's probably the best piece of beef we have eaten 😋

Today, we travelled to Naoshima Island. It is known for its works by maestros of contemporary art, impressionist paintings, and architecture. We have a couple of days here to explore 😀

Today was spent visiting some of the art museums on Naoshima. These included Benesse Houses and Chichu Art Museums and the Art House Project.

After our "arty farty" day out, we decided to have a relaxing soak in the Naoshima Public Bathhouse "I Love Yu." It was a great experience.
