Slightly reminiscent of San Francisco, parts of Barcelona also have their ups and downs. The local authority have installed escalators though to make the ups a little easier

A little later than planned but we are in Marseille. I'm treating my bird to a class slap up meal of take away pizza and a bottle of JP Chenet. Ladies you have no idea,what your missing.

A great place to stay last night and at just £43 A real bargain. The 93 steps up the spiral staircase were hard work though. Back to the station now to see if the trains are running.

Had a fabulous visit this morning to the Acquario di Genova.
They had enormous tanks filled with all sorts of aquatic life including some fantastic dolphins.
Very highly recommended.

We found the home of Christopher Columbus. A modest little house for someone with such great navigational skills. Do wonder how he would feel now seeing his discovery completed "Trumped"

TrenItalia has now run out of electricity. Seems to be a common issue down here. Only issue is 124 sweaty people in a tin can with no windows makes for an interesting atmosphere.

Our accommodation in Pisa is just amazing. Top floor of a medieval building with parts of its core exposed .
