Come here early - we're wanting to do the 2pm guided tour, so we look about what we can by ourselves (I purchase a hand made journal that a craft lady makes by refurbishing unwanted books $60 - each one unique) before going off for a drive to have our lunch and then we'll return for the tour. We end up having our picnic lunch at Geraldton's foreshore, before looking about in the shopping area nearby. Roger checks out a butcher shop, and I find a hairdresser that can give me an appt for Friday. We go get an icecream each from Casa Dolce, rum & raisen Rog, lemon gelato for me. Now drive back to the Heritage Precinct for the tour. Turns out to be just Roger and I for today's tour, and it's being taken by a 'new' trainee guide (1st tour for this lady - Karen) so she has another guide along as support. So Rog and I get total attention and a very comprehensive tour. Beaut way to spend our time - very interesting. Turns out that it's thanks to the local Craft Association that the original Goal buildings are still here for us all to see. Saving history.Read more
