Next stop on our drive from Walkaway. There is a lovely Cafe here - we look at the menu and decide we'll have lunch here. First we pay to go look around the historic buildings $10 each. This is a worthwhile thing to do - the buildings and their displays are fantastic. The churches are stand outs for me (their architecture and stain glass windows). We enjoy our time wandering from building to building - getting a picture in our minds how it used to be. The pasture surrounding this area has great examples of the wind blown sideways trees that Greenough is renowned for. Also here is a mob of alpacas - recently shorn by the look of them. After our look around we go back to the cafe and order our lunch, fish and chips with an iced coffee for Rog, and salt & pepper squid salad with an apple cider for me. Continue on our way once our lunch is finished.Read more
