Clare Valley Information Centre

This is becoming a favourite place to call in! We're here now for Friday 'drinks' which is held every Friday 4pm to 7pm - featuring a local producer (wines, gins, beers) who has someone (quite often the owners themselves) presenting and talking about their 'drops'. Not a worry if you're not into whatever is featured on the evening - as the centre has a well stocked fridge and cellar they're licensed to serve from. Offering cheese platters to purchase and enjoy here as well - along with other local baked goodies. Good coffee and tea available too.
Tonight's feature is O'Leary Walker Wines and we have 4 on offer to taste, being presented by Mark. Funnily enough, Roger and I like all of them - but our favourite was the Grenache. We buy 1 bottle of it, and kept drinking by the glass ($8) while remaining here, the sparkling for me, Riesling for Roger.
Roger and I were the 1st to arrive, but boy there was a decent crowd by the time we left at 5.30pm (finishes 7pm). We had a lovely time, sitting and chatting with 2 other 'travelling' couples, at an inside table.
We head off early as we are wanting to get to Auburn to have tea at The Rising Sun Hotel, before our show starts at 7.30pm.Читать далее
