• Clare Valley Parkrun

    March 15 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 26 °C

Roger drives me to the Parkrun starting area and parks - it's only about 2kms from where we're staying!. He says he's happy to wait until I'm finished.
Today's parkrun is another well run event - I now understand to go to the '1st Timer' Marshal before the 8am start so I can be filled in on how their 5km track is run. It also gets us (1st timers) introduced so others know to watch out for us! In today's 1st Timers we had a family (5) from UK, and when I mentioned I'm from Dunkeld VIC - I had a nice fella come over and tell me he's from nearby Coleraine! Roger and I got chatting with him after the run - his name Scott Cameron, and he's a regular holidayer here with his wife's family living nearby. They're staying in the caravan park in their caravan (wife and children). Thought Roger might have known his older brother Andrew.......not so. Enjoyed chatting with Scott before returning to our housesit.
Later in the day I receive my 'results' which let's me know there was 55 participants in the parkrun this morning. Lovely friendly group.
