Auburn Caravan Park
22–24 Mac, Australia ⋅ ☁️ 23 °C
Come straight here from Clare. We're keen to check in and get settled. Pay our $70 for 2 nights with power and allocated Site 9. We go and set up - and happy with our site, it's a good size and in a handy position to amenities block and camp kitchen. Lovely caravan park, it will suit us well for the shows we're attending while staying in Auburn, we can walk to them. Once we're settled, Roger has his lunch, some sausage surprise. I don't worry about lunch as my 'brunch' in Clare has done the job. We relax and enjoy the park setting and around 3pm have some cheese and biscuits with a nice bottle of local wine (a Fiano) before heading to our 1st show. We leave just after 4pm as Roger has checked and said it starts at 4.30pm. We return from this show around 5.30pm. We have until 7pm until we have to leave for our 2nd show, so plenty of time to relax, I get changed into warmer clothes (ready for the evening cool), and have our tea - reheated sausage surprise. Head off on time for our next show - get back at 9pm. Luckily, we had a couple walking most of the distance back with us - they live nearby - as they had a good torch to share their light, no street lights in some sections where we walked! Now time for a cuppa then Roger goes for his shower. Relaxing before bed.
23/03/25 Sunday. Rupert McClure's 1st birthday today (Owen & Meg's son). Roger up at around 7am, I have a 'lie in' reading my 'Reacher' book until about 8.30am. Get up and have my breakfast too - tidy up before deciding to go for a run to check out the trail beside our caravan park. Come back and have a shower. Lunch is finishing off the remainder of the sausage surprise - we both have it heated up and on some toast. Roger has a couple of yoyo biscuits, I have some yoghurt and tinned Peaches. Relaxing, until we have to leave (walk) to our final Adelaide Fringe show. Leave at 1.40pm and return 5.30pm. We have a relax (I get changed) before I spend time updating our travel maps while Roger cooks our tea. Tea tonight lamb chops cooked with onions, boiled vegetables and Roger's homemade airfryer chips. We follow this with some Canadian chocolates (thank you gift from Jacky and Marty). Tidy up and relaxing before bed.
24/03/25 Monday. Roger gets up 1st, I follow at around 7.30am. Leisurely breakfast - Roger has made us both porridge. He follows with his toast. We enjoy our cuppas. Pack up and get organised to leave. Off we go at 9.30am.Baca lagi
