The Pleasant Hills Community Hotel

Come here with Clare and Muddy - this is where they met 21 years ago! Since then the pub had closed down - and this community rallied and have purchased it and running it as a community co-op with all adults involved volunteering their time on a roster system to keep it running 3 days a week - Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Clare is Treasurer for it's finances and also cooks 1 night a month. Caitlin is looking forward to turning 14 (13 at present) so she'll be able to work here. Juniors get paid - and gain fantastic work experience.
We have a beaut couple of hours here - enjoy a few drinks and meet lovely friendly locals. We purchase a takeaway bottle of red wine and a Beanie - memento of a great pub because of community endeavour and spirit.Read more
