Today we travelled the Cobb&Co route towards Boulia from our bush camp at Poddy Creek.

Camping at the race course with about 2000 others. Red bulldust underfoot and in the air. The gidgey camp fires everywhere.
Had a bet in the cup and of course no win for us.

Thermal spring and whip cracking. Bitter springs was a long float down a natural creek. Mataranka thermal pool feed by rainbow spring.

Grade 4 walk up the gorge to water fall and swimming hole. 2 hour round trip.

We did the thermal springs and did some adventurous 4wd to do the 3 gorge lookout. Talk about being in the right spot at the right time.

Stayed 2 nights. Had a look at the Dam wall and lookout.
Also the sunset cruise.

Camped at Goorrandalng.
The landscape in this park is stunningly rich in colour and texture.
The spectacular geology and rock formations are similar to the Bungle Bungles.

Did the mine tour not much to rave about.
