Strahan to Cradle Mountain Day 7

Up early this morning, checked out and headed across the road to Gordon River Cruises on the Spirit of the Wild to do the river and Macquarie Harbour (a fjord) for a five hour river/ocean cruise.
Everyone agreed it was a great trip and a very slick trip. We had two stops; one was a bush walk looking at native fauna then a guided tour of Sarah Island, a convict penitentiary site. Had a delicious lunch on board.
The boat is electric and whisper quiet, especially when slowly cruising through the fjord.
We hit the road for Cradle Mountain at 2.45pm and arrived about 4pm at Cradle Mountain Wilderness Village Resort. We had two cottages facing into the 'wilderness'. Very cute and simple.
The highlight of our first night was dinner. It was the BEST meal of our trip. It was at the resort. The food was perfect. The service was perfect. The venue was perfect.
