The monkey incident at Uluwatu Temple

The last item on our agenda today was the sunset at Uluwatu Temple. The scooters parked, we were already overwhelmed by souvenirshops. A quick look through and then off to the temple. Directly in front of the shops some monkeys demonstratively sat down on the parked scooters. That is a sight to behold and photographed! As soon as Matthias starts to take the photo, another monkey climbs up the tree behind him and grabs his sunglasses off his head. I scream "you fu*** bastard" marching towards the escaping monkey! Luckily, impressed by this extraordinary performance, the brazen thief drops the expensive sunglasses. Why did I freak out so much? The monkey took the prescriptions glasses off a "blind man’s” head! That's impossible and unfair - Sophie on 180 😂. In the end the performance succeeded and the glas of the glasses survived, only the frame is a little scratched.
So boldly animals (of course its the humans themselves fault, but nevertheless we were furious).
For all the louder it is better to go quickly to the calming beautiful sunset. The temple is really beautiful!

Als letzter Programmpunkt stand heute der Sonnenuntergang am Uluwatu Temple an. Die Roller geparkt, wurden wir schon von Souvenir Ständen erschlagen. Kurz mal durchschauen und dann ab zum Tempel. Direkt vor den Läden, setzten sich die Äffchen demonstrativ auf die geparkten Roller. Ein Bild für die Götter - das musste fotografiert werden! Kaum setzt Matthias zum Foto an, klettert ein weiterer Affe hinter ihm den Baum hoch und greift ihm die Sonnenbrille vom Kopf. Rennt los, zwischen die Roller auf mich zu - ich kreischend „you fu*** bastard“ in die Richtung des Affens marschierend! Glücklicherweise von dieser ausfallenden Performance beeindruckt, lässt der dreiste Dieb die teure Sonnenbrille fallen. Warum ich so ausgeflippt bin? Der Affe hat die Brille mit Sehstärke einem „Blinden“ vom Kopf gehauen! Das geht gar nicht und ist ungerecht - also Sophie auf 180 😂. Im Endeffekt hat es ja was gebracht und Glück im Unglück die Gläser der Brille haben überlebt, einzig das Gestell ist ein wenig angekratzt vom Aufprall auf dem Boden.
So dreist die Tiere (natürlich auch die Menschen selbst schuld, aber dennoch erbosend).
Vor lauter lauter besser schnell zum beruhigenden schönen Sonnenuntergang. Der Tempel ist wirklich schön!Read more
