  • What A Day!!

    5 juin 2023, Nouvelle-Zélande ⋅ 🌙 6 °C

Up early this morning to walk to the cliffs to view the "storm waves." Then take Waymaker out to Tauranga Bay to view the seal colony and the weka's. Then into Westport to exchange clothing, visit Mitre 10, visit a dump station, full up with gas Then head out of town up the Lower and Upper Buller Gorge. We stopped to cross the longest swing bridge in NZ and take the walk to view where the land rose 4.5mtr during the Murchison earthquake.
We are now parked up for the night at the association camp in Murchison. Sadly the Dancing Flame tour over the back of a local farm in their bush has been closed for the next 3weeks.. It looks like we might have to vote this way again!!
What a wonderful day... what a warm sunny day...

  • Glorious Motueka

    6 juin 2023, Nouvelle-Zélande ⋅ ☀️ 8 °C

What a wonderful, hot, sunny day in Motueka. Since leaving the West Coast, the sun has been with us, and it looks like staying until we cross back to the North Island on the 20th.
Waymaker has been given a bath and she is looking beautiful.
We have just come in from cycling around this town soaking up some wonderful sights.
The next week we will be chugging up to Fairwell Spit then heading off to Picton or Blenheim.
Spitually, so much has been happening. Our prayer list is growing by the day plus wonderful divine moments... totally wonderful..... full of wonder!!
Next it's lunch then off again on the bikes... "FREEDOM!"

  • Peaceful Collingwood

    12 juin 2023, Nouvelle-Zélande ⋅ ☀️ 14 °C

If I didn't know better I would have thought Collingwood was Paradise... it is close but not.
What a wonderful settlement of peace and beauty. A place to restore my soul; a place to totally relax.
Tomorrow we are off on tour to explore the great Farewell Spit lighthouse, fossils, and much more. Friday is move day as we head back to Kaiteretere, and Saturday onto Blenheim.
This stop has been God's timing.. a young lady helped, young couple ministered to, and the camp manager encouraged. So much so that he brought us four snapper filets in appreciation.
It will be sad to move on but if we are to catch our ferry back to Wellington on Tuesday then we must.
Enjoy!! " We will be back!"

  • What a Great Location!

    12 juin 2023, Nouvelle-Zélande ⋅ 🌙 11 °C

We conquered the Takaka Hill although at the very first major corner we very very nearly didn't make it. Wheels spinning on ice, grit, and water... ouch! Never the less the trip out here was well worth it. We are now tucked right along side the Golden Bay; all set up to rest and relax. We have booked for Thursday 7hour trip out to the end of Farewell Spit and to the lighthouse. The rest of the time we will rest, explore and enjoy our location.En savoir plus

  • Back in the North Island

    21 juin 2023, Nouvelle-Zélande ⋅ ☀️ 10 °C

After a muddy stop over on Blenheim and a very calm crossing of Cook Strait, we settled in for the night at a private POP Camp in Waikanae.
Awoke this morning to a chorus of many wonderful birds singing their little hearts out.
Today is laundry day in Levin. Satellite Aerial repair day in Levin, and then to rest up and enjoy the town.... maybe on our bikes.
