    Coming into Santiago.
Welcome sign in the international terminal.Walking over to domestic terminal, fresh air feels so good & some cool vegetation art.Lupine grows wild here, forefront left you can see better than the clusters further away.1Here's my blue skies!Several big shipping companies operate in this area, here's one ship. This is Chile's last "big city" heading south & they have great art work along the ocean. We drove by this monument, so I didn't get to find out what it honors.Coming into Puerto Arenas proper is the city sign.1These trees were interesting 🌳No working during drinking hours on the sign, nothing more needs to be said.Piers always capture me.Same Puerto Arenas sign, but you can see the anniversary sign if Magellan. It's not an international trip if I don't see a dog on its own.Ernest Shackleton, explorer, we learned about him when we went to Antarctica, Chile recognizes him. It's summer here & a chilly (maybe) 60 degrees now that sun is obscured. Windchill easily 50.Their thermometer (that I never figured out).Loved this mural coming into town, but this angle doesn't capture it.This reminds me of our trip to Antarctica in '11/'12.Time for drinks at our hotel, Almasur. The window is open, it's summer (brrr).
