    Leaning Tower of Pisa

    I climbed up the tower and the tower looks and feels very unsafe. I read the tower was straighten by one degree, so it use to lean even more.

    Even I could tell the David statue is a master piece. For some reason the real one looks better then the copies. Based on the unfinished statues Michelangelo was working on when he passed away, his sculpturing process seems different then most artist.Read more

    This is Stibbert private collection of medial armor. He spent 20 to 30 years of his life collecting the items. He inherited his fortune from the East Indies Trading Company.

    These are some pictures of the living space in Stibbert Museum. The museum was the house he lived in until he passed away. The last two pictures are a ceremonial robe Neapolitan wore.

  • Castello di Miramare

    Built by an Austria noble man in 1856 who became emperor of Mexico two years before it was finished and he was executed in Mexico about the time construction was finished. It feels like it was dangerous to be rich in the olden days. The castle was also used as a US Army headquarters during World War II.
    I have often fantasized about buying a house with an amazing yard or building my own amazing yard. I now realized I just need to live next to a house with an amazing yard that has no entrance fee.

    Trieste is a cleaner, newer and cheaper city then Venice, Florence, or Rome.
    One of the super yachts owned by a Russian oilagrat that was ceased by the Italian authorities is anchored just off the shore of Trieste.Read more

    The third to last picture is a repair shop for the gondolas. You have to have a license to repair and make gondolas.
    The second to last picture is a working hospital that use to be a religious building.
    The last picture is an ambulance and there is a canal that goes inside the hospital for the ambulance boat.

  • Grotta Gigante

    This is one of the largest underground caves in the world. There was an underground river that a second above ground river flowed into it, forming a underground waterfall that carved out the large cave 2 million years ago.
    Inside the cave are two very long wires connected to some instruments that allow geologist to make very accurate measurement of the cave. The setup can measure the change in the cave size from the moon's orbit around the Earth and the movement of the African tectonic plate.

    The Royal Palace of Caserta is a former royal residence in Caserta, Italy built in 1750. The gardens are so big there is a bus you can take from one end to the other. The second to last picture is a tree house built for the prince so he could play make believe castle battles. The last picture is the front yard.Read more
