Yesterday was off ship touring with only a small side of work.
Joanne is here and before we fully put her to work, some Swedish time! Good for the soul, people are no stress, helpful and so many good takeaways. Went to shipyard office to figure how to get to a car rental (small city and on outskirts) one of the Shipyard Managers calmly stands and says I will take you (15 min) away, waits, helps with language and gives us many tips.
We head to Varberg, very pretty seaside town. We can’t figure out the parking and how to pay, we ask some people and then the parking guy, both tell us to just put a note in our window saying what time we arrived and we have four hours for free! Trust and honour system.
The pace is simple, calm and easy. We ended the night with an Aperol Spritz and traditional Swedish toast with shrimp, dill, pickled onions and fish roe - SO good!
Back on the ship feels like coming home to family now. One of the crew gave me some spray for my sore knee from the Philippines that is supposed to be magical. Then I made some Tik Toks with the “girl crew”! lol

More ship talk later. Tomorrow we sail to Rönnang to test “her” out as the Captain arrives today!

Miss my fam., my dog and missed an awesome backyard bbq at home yesterday that I had organized - seems much fun was had despite! 😂
