• Into new waters: Laos🇱🇦

    January 3 in Laos ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

Today was the kick off for a new chapter in this book: Laos🇱🇦
Alarm was set at 0430 and shortly after we sat in a small minivan, driving off to the border of Thailand.
After the immigration process (And a new stamp in my passport!) we had to take a ride yet in another, bigger bus to the pier.
Cause for Laos, we decided for a special way of traveling for the first two days.
A slow boat that ships us in the Mekong River first to Pak Beng and on the next day to Luang Prabang.
Overall around seven hours of traveling by boat each day.
The twist: the time we boarded all of the seats were alredy taken, so what did we do?
We moved all the way to the back of the boat, behind the machineroom into the tiny kitchen and made ourself a home.
Space was tight but I traveld worse, picked myself a chair (the first hour I was siting on a cutting board chair thing and the kitchenlady shouted at me when she saw that) and spend the time writing in my journal, sketching and even tried to handle Peters Ukulele.
    Work in progress.

    Our plans in Laos?
Were hyped for quiet some activities for the next 30 days, lets see whats going to happen and whats staying in the planning side.
