TravelerWe headed off for a drive around Mallacoota. A small town on the beach with what they call a lake but is a huge inlet. There is a drive and walk around the southern half. Pretty. Some affluent houses a bit out of town. Amazing gardens with roses galore. We shopped for souvenirs and groceries. We wanted to spend $ and we did.
TravelerDay trip. We headed south of the town along the coastline in the Croajingolong National Park. First stop Bastions Beach lookout. A good view of the mouth of the inlet. Then to Geology Point. Along the beach to the headland rocks with a view of amazing rock formations. Then Quarry Beach. We thought the rocks were amazing before. These were incredible. Check the photos. Then to Secret Beach. The headland hides a cave which we could not get to because of high tide. Then Shipwreck Creek for lunch the back to Pebbly Beach. Back to camp. We were going to go out for dinner but the pub was full. The cabin is making life so easy. Pack up tomorrow then inland to Cooma.
