Letzter Tag in Portimao 🇵🇹

Der letzte ganze Tag in Portugal 🇵🇹

Mein Wecker klingelte heute um 06:45 Uhr. Es war Zeit, ein bisschen Sport zu machen 🏃🏽‍♂️
Nach einer Joggingeinheit und einer warmen, langen Dusche im Hafen, war ich passend zum Frühstück wieder zurück an Bord ⛵
Eigentlich war der Plan, dass wir mit den Schüler*innen um 09:15 Uhr zum Strand aufbrechen wollten. Allerdings hatte die Crew kurzfristig die Idee, dass die Kids einmal das Deck schrubben sollten, damit wir morgen auch zeitig ablegen können 🧽
Da die Kids das ganze Prozedere bereits kennen, konnten wir uns schon um 10:00 Uhr auf den Weg zum Strand machen, wo eine von uns geplante Strandolympiade mit Gruppen- und Teamworkaufgaben auf sie wartete 💪🏽
Wasserlauf, Schubkarrenrennen, Eisschollenspiel, Tauziehen, Mathe-Quiz etc. wurden von den Schüler*innen mit Bravour gemeistert 🪢
Kreativität verlangte im Anschluss das Formulieren eines Gedichts mit vorgegebenen Wörtern sowie das Aufstellen einer ausgefallenen menschlichen Pyramide 📝🔺
Zum Essen liefen wir zurück zum Schiff - es gab Paella mit Fisch von Martin (Captain) 🥘
Danach hatten die Schüler*innen nochmal Zeit für 'free-shore-leave'. Lisa und ich gingen derweil noch einmal am Strand entlang und setzten uns für einen IceCoffee und einen Smoothie in ein Café und schauten uns den Sonnenuntergang an 🌅
Vor dem Abendessen beglückte uns Sophia mit dem ersten 'Pathway-Referat' zum Thema 'Bedingungsloses Grundeinkommen' 💸
Gestärkt von Lasagne mit Pommes diskutierten einige bereits wieder darüber, ob es in den nächsten Tagen erneut Fälle von Seekrankheit geben wird 🤢
Es bleibt ein beständiges Thema kurz vor dem Ablegen ⚓

Mein persönliches Highlight des Tages:
Die wertschätzende und respektvolle Diskussion der Schüler*innen untereinander über Pro- und Contra-Argumente zum 'bedingungslosen Grundeinkommen' 🗨️

The last full day in Portugal 🇵🇹

My alarm clock rang at 06:45 today. It was time to do a bit of sport 🏃🏽‍♂️
After a jogging session and a warm, long shower in the harbor, I was back on board in time for breakfast ⛵
The original plan was to set off for the beach with the students at 09:15. However, the crew had the last-minute idea that the kids should scrub the deck so that we could leave early tomorrow 🧽
As the kids already knew the whole procedure, we were able to make our way to the beach at 10:00 a.m., where a beach Olympics we had planned with group and teamwork tasks awaited them 💪🏽
The water race, wheelbarrow race, ice floe game, tug-of-war, math quiz etc. were mastered by the students with flying colors 🪢
Creativity was then required in the formulation of a poem with given words and the display of an unusual human pyramid 📝🔺
For dinner we walked back to the ship - we had paella with fish from Martin (Captain) 🥘
Afterwards, the students had more time for 'free-shore-leave'. Meanwhile, Lisa and I walked along the beach again and sat down in a café for an iced coffee and a smoothie and watched the sunset 🌅
Before dinner, Sophia delighted us with the first 'Pathway presentation' on the topic of 'Unconditional Basic Income' 💸
Strengthened by lasagna with chips, some were already discussing whether there would be cases of seasickness again in the next few days 🤢
It remains a constant topic just before casting off ⚓

My personal highlight of the day:
The appreciative and respectful discussion among the students about the pros and cons of the 'unconditional basic income' 🗨️
