  • And so the slow trek back begins

    3 de enero de 2023, Mexico ⋅ ☀️ 72 °F

We decided to stop in for lunch at a small town called El Triunfo and wow, what a treat. We had lunch at Cafe El Triunfo which has an interesting background as it's the same person who helped revitalize and restore Todos Santos and is responsible for rebuilding and revitalizing El Triunfo.Leer más

  • La Ventana

    4 de enero de 2023, Mexico ⋅ 🌙 61 °F

Well, after much hype, we finally made it to La Ventana, the Mecca for kite boarding and any wind sport. At first we didn't get a good vibe but after a day or two here we starting warming up to it. Unfortunately the wind blew us away 😂😂. We also had a visit from Eric .. yay!Leer más

  • Back to Loreto

    7 de enero de 2023, Mexico ⋅ 🌙 59 °F

I think Loreto may be my favorite largish town in Baja. It has many good restaurants and bars and one of the cutest old town area. The mission and other buildings on the town square are beautiful. It also has one of the best pizzas and margaritas I have event had 😉 we stayed at the Oasis hotel and it had quite a feisty resident who harassed us daily (watch the video)Leer más

  • Playa el Requeson

    8 de enero de 2023, Mexico ⋅ 🌙 54 °F

Wow! One of the best beaches we stayed on (that's us smack bang in the middle of the beach) It's a spit that connects to an island at low tide and is pretty well protected from the winds. I took a drive south along the beach and Playa La Perla is also pretty good. The nice part is that it's not overcrowded and is 30 minutes from Mulegé is you need supplies. We met some great folks and the last night we had an impromptu fire show on the beach (see video)Leer más

  • Eifel designed church

    11 de enero de 2023, Mexico ⋅ ☁️ 37 °F

In Santa Rosalía, a church designed by Eiffel and built is Belgium was purchased, deconstructed and the rebuilt in Baja. You can see for the photos that there are many similarities to Eiffel's other works. This town as a whole had a very different feel to other Mexican towns, sort of a USA feel.Leer más

  • Bahía de los Ángeles

    14–15 ene. 2023, Mexico ⋅ ☀️ 66 °F

We decided to visit even though we were told that there is not much here and boy where they right. It's a small fishing town so if you into that, then it's fine. Only spent a night. The desert on the way out was quite nice with lovely cactiLeer más
