Camino Norte, Day 13 =>Guemes

Easy day. 9.4 miles and 1000’ of ascent. Calm rolling hills through the countryside. Taking the afternoon to rest up before three hard days ahead. Diane got a chocolate cake and coffee (happy wife, happy life).

Made it in time for Mass at San Miguel de Meruelo. Couldn’t understand the Spanish, but it was a quiet time of reflection/prayer and felt good afterward. Our third Mass in two weeks. Lots of candles/church visits. Trying to make this more than just a physical challenge/adventure. It’s time for a spiritual reset post work life.Read more
