Camino Norte, Day 31 => Lourenza

Easy day. 8 miles, 800’ ascent/1500’ descent. Will take today and tomorrow to recharge/recover.

Into the beautiful and remote Galician hills. We walk past farms and through forest like Asturias, but it feels even more rural.

Quiet - with only the wind and occasional birds or cows. Nothing to do but reflect, while steadily walking in nature. No distractions. Some say the first part of the Camino is for the body/endurance. The second part is a time to look inward, reflect. And the third part is for the soul/spirit/purpose. For every pilgrim it’s different.
