Arrived in LA

Ava and I arrived safely in California.. we caught an UBER to the hotel and literally crashed. Original plans were to go to Disneyland on our first day but after 10 days of travelling and packing so much in Ava slept until 1pm.
Our accommodation is across the road to Disneyland. We walked to downtown Disney and explored the area; we enjoyed a great lunch and explored downtown.
We went back to our room watched some TV and pissed our selves laughing at the commercials on tv and went to sleep to get ready for our first day at Disneyland.Leer más

Disneyland The happiest place on earth!

Finally the day has arrived Disneyland. When Ava and I arrived we went straight to Matterhorn I remember this ride when I visited with my family in the 70’s… I think I was about 7.
Standing in Disneyland was so surreal after so much planning and discussion the day is here…where we will spend the next 4 days between Disneyland and California Adventure Park.
The second ride was Alive in wonderful tea cups another visit down memory lane. The rest of the day was full of laughter, colour, cheer, screams and chats.
The rocking gondola completely terrifying, the Incredicoaster high speed with lots of loops, screams and more loops and high speed.Leer más

Princess Breakfast

I was so excited when I awoke this morning as it was breakfast with the Princesses.
My wish was to meet Ariel as I have always believed I am a mermaid 🧜‍♀️deep down in my imaginative world of fantasy.
Ariel was very annoyed about Americas customs by not allowing me to bring my Fluke (mermaid tale) into the country to swim her.
Ariel promised me she would speak to her father King Triton 🧜 and he would perhaps be able to organise a loan one.
The breakfast was spectacular… lobster rolls,
Açai bowls, an amazing rare beef, asparagus, devilled eggs and ridiculously delicious sweets to end.Leer más

Disney California Adventure Park

After our breakfast with the Princesses it was time to check out the rides. Disney California Adventure Park was holding the 2024 Pixar festival.
Ava and I went on ride after ride after ride… thank goodness Ava has become a daredevil and has gone on everything it’s so much fun.Leer más

Disneyland Meeting Mickey, Rides and Fir

This place is pure magic and perfection. The fine detail and love put into this place from the team of people that are all involved is breathtaking and really no words can explain the wonderment of Disneyland.
The most amazing experience today was the fireworks: as my sister has been our tour guide whilst here on Disneyland I felt it only right I face time her to share the spectacular show.Leer más

Last day at Disneyland and I can successfully say that we have completed everything we wanted to accomplish in the last 4 days.
Pure magic… Next stop Hollywood/ Universal Studios…

Hollywood

Ava and I took an Uber up to the Hollywood sign at Lake Hollywood.
It was pretty much just a photo opportunity: a massive anti climax!
Following our photo opportunity we went to the Chinese Theatre now that was amazing. Ava and I took a tour and wow what a spectacular theatre. Sid Gauman opened the theatre in 1927, with the premiere of Cecil B. DeMille's The King of Kings. It has been home to many premieres, including the 1977 debut of Star Wars,as well as many private events and three Academy Awards ceremonies and housed 2000 guests. Apparently the number 1 item that the guests purchased was boiled eggs.
We walked around and found Marilyn Monroe, Gregory Peck, Michael Jackson, Shirley Temple and so many classic super stars. That was awesome. We walked the Hollywood walk of fame and checked out all the stars.Leer más

Universal Studios VIP Tour

What an absolute amazing tour.
Starting off at 9:30 with a small group of 12 people we visited the universal studios, seeing all the different sets for Jaws, Back to the future, Psycho, Hollywood house wives and many more.
We experienced 3D/4D earthquake, we were in the middle of a gun fight and car chase as well as Jaws jumping out and scaring the shit out of Ava and I.
The rides were brilliantly fun and exhilarating… Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, The Mummy, the Simpsons, we went into Super Nintendo world, but Mario’s cart had broken down!
We had lunch at the Moulin Rouge and explored Harry Potter world… literally every single square inch.
Photo with BeatleJuice was hilarious as he was so hyperactive…
We left early as we were so exhausted so tomorrow will bring new adventures as it is the 4th July. Our last day on the mainland and then off to Hawaii for our final part of our amazing adventure and journey.Leer más

4th July at Universal Studios

Last official day in LA and what better way to end our time here with celebrating the 4th July at Universal Studios.
Start off with rides Jurassic Park, The Mummy, Harry Potter, The secret life of pets, another failed attempt to go to Mario’s world as the ride breaks down regularly…and an incredible show Water world, stunts, shots and explosions:
After the show we had a photo with CY Mirasol who has been in Hawaii 5 O.
Lunch at Three Broomsticks and a nice ice cold Butter Beer. Following this off to Ollivanders for the wand to choose Ava.
Photos with the Scooby Doo gang and my 10 year old self confessed my love to Shaggy. They were all so happy for him that Fred and Daphne helped him fix his hair to a neat style… he wasn’t happy and shook his head to shaggy again…Velma did not look impressed but had fun with us anyway.
Back to the hotel to pack up our 20 days of travel to be ready for Hawaii tomorrow.
We watched the fire works from our window with my sister on FaceTime… LA, New York and Memphis we hope to meet again thank you for a fabulous experience and a life time of memories!Leer más
