    Yesterday Ainsley and I went shopping on Orchard Road while the guys went to the museum...Yeah!, went to Zara and bought a top. Not much in big sizes. Ainsley got pants and tops..skinny Minny! Also went to bargain basements .
    In the afternoon went Bayfront gardens. Great displays.    Les mer

    Had a sleep in. Had brunch at a German restaurant. Then walked around to Raffles where they are doing major renovations. Ainsley and John went down to Santosa. We went last time we were here so just went shopping....Again! Leaving tonight at 11.55pm to go to Franfurt. Yuk! Another 12 hour flight. Now I remember why I hate travelling to Europe. Never mind.     Germany 24-26 July.
    Arrived in Frankfurt at 6.30am. Still tired. Weather matches my mood...wet and Miserable! After all the nice friendly people in Singapore this place is the exact opposite! Cold,dull, not friendly. Train system not as user friendly either. Nice friendly staff at the hotel has made up for it...thank heavens!Les mer

    Welcome to NZ..?...oops I mean Frankfurt! Wet and cold. So much for summer in Europe. Got onto a Hop on & Hop off bus to have a look around. Most buildings are not very tall as ground is made of sand and clay. Got Twin Tower here which houses banking institutions. The locals call them Debit & Credit.There are some nice people here. Got instructions to bus stop and he said to enjoy the nice weather ( dry humour). Went beside river Maine and over what they think are great bridges (not).Too wet to get off and do sightseeing so just went to look at shops then back to the hotel to watch TV and read book. Went to a good Ole German pub for dinner. Friendly staff. Had Wienner schnitzel of course! Graham and John had pork knuckle with sour crowt cabbage. Ainsley had a salad. Healthy Bitch! Leaving early tomorrow morning to take bus to Prague.Les mer

    Going to Prague

    Today we are on the bus from Frankfurt to Prague. Leave at 9.15am and arrive at 6.15pm. Rained most of the day but saw some nice scenery. Noticed the difference when we crossed the Cszh border. Lot poorer then Germany. Houses are older and road is in poorer condition. Prague looks amazing. Lots of beautiful old buildings. Will look around tomorrow. Had a quick dinner and into bed. They still use the Kŕoner currency here as well as the Euro.Les mer

    Prague 26-30 July. 2017.
    ur first day in Prague. Staying at Ramada hotel in Wenceslas Square in the heart of the city. Beautiful old hotel with old style bedroom. Great Breakfast! Here for 4 days. Weather is nice today...thank goodness. Went around the Old town square and to the Charles bridge. All the cobblestone and paved walkways are a Killer! Wounder how many twisted ankles happen.......touch wood....not me I Hope!Les mer

    Prague

    Another day for sight seeing. Weather looks better...thank goodness. Took a cruise on the river Moldau through Old Prague. We sat in the front of course. We went on a smaller boat which took us through some smaller waterways which reminded me of Venice. But this is Cleaner! Some dark clouds hover over head.Les mer

    The Charles Bridge is a great tourist attraction. It joins the historic quarters of Stare Mentor and Mala Strana. Heaps of tourists. Also artists line the bridge selling painting,jewelry and playing music. Religious statues also line the bridge on both sides .Les mer

    Show time. Went to Fantastika Black Light Theatre to see ^Aspects of Alice^. Boy are we getting educated by hanging out with John & Ainsley. It's a pantomime.....first time we have been to One! Interesting! Also lots of live music playing in the squares.Les mer

    Krakow

    Krakow 30th July - 2nd August 2017
    Caught the train this morning to Krakow. Six hour ride. Ainsley did well with the bookings by making sure we had allocated seats. A lot of people Standing! Also Graham remembered from our trip with Erica in Venice that you had to be quick to stack your bags or you have no where to put them.
    Wow .... what a place. Erica....have you ever been to Krakow....better then Prague. Kept the old world Charm!
    Absolutely loving the feel of this place. Went to dinner in the square. What a lovely balmy Evening! Cheap food and booze. And Yummy!    Les mer
