Day 1 - Drive to Cahors

Set off at 0620 - driving in France just before 0900 (1000 after moving clock forward) - very nice weather, easy trip, arrived Cahors 1915, nice grill meal in the hotel - steaks & fries
Day 2 - Cahors to Torrevieja

Long drive over the Pyrenees, weather was superb, arrived at Torrevieja 1930
Day 3 - settling in

Did a big shop, sorted out flat - mainly cleaning and then a bike ride to a beach bar
Day 4 - Almoradi market

Quick visit to the best market in the area where we always buy some churros which cost just one euro
Day 5 - Bike ride to Torrevieja

After the Sunday Whick telecon we cycled into Torrevieja. On way back we stopped at a beach restaurant for lunch - Calamares

Started the day at Agua Amarga with a lovely breakfast watching the sunrise (which is quite late in Spain)

Today’s route was a drive to Sevilla but stopped off for a couple of hours at Ronda visiting the Arab Baths and the old town

Early start and relatively short drive to Córdoba arriving at 1030. Visited the Mezquita in the morning - a Mosque converted to a Christian Church

Wandered around the old town, had lunch and then drove to the hotel on the edge of town

Return trip from Cordoba. Stopped off at Alcala de Real to visit the fortress of La Mota

Day 16 - Torrevieja by bike

Possibly the last day of very hot weather (28C in the afternoon) so we set off early along the coast by bike. Stopped off to by a Spanish data SIM (50GB for €20) and then did the coast routeLæs mere
Day 17 - well eventually it had to rain

16 sunny days so far but not today. Very heavy rain - caused some flooding
Day 18 - normal weather service resumed

Storm passed through now, did a nice bike ride to Cabo Roig. Good waves in the sea has brought out the surfers.
