Awesome Day on the Moors

Set out in perfect weather, warm, some clouds, refreshing light breeze. A day of roller-coaster mountains and valleys to climb high up to the North York Moors. Panoramic views as far as the eye could see at the many lookouts and plateaus along the way, even to the North Sea, our final destination. Beginning in the beech and acorn forests we followed the Cleveland Way (109 mile walk circumnavigating the Moors) with lots of other hikers out today. Enjoyed a nice coffee at a Cafe before climbing to Wainstones Rocks, a popular rock climbing spot. Military very active in the sky, loud and proud. A fabulous day about 7 hours walking with taxi pickup at the carpark to take us to Wainstones Hotel.Läs mer
