    Landed in Miami!

    Landed last night, had a couple of empanadas at the airport, then home to our place for the next few days (pictured) just by Little Havana 🇨🇺 Looking forward to a day of exploring tomorrow!

    Gorgeous Cuban neighbourhood just 5 minutes away from us. Amazing Latin American food and music 🎶 Been back here a few times now as it’s so close! Our favourite part of Miami so far ☺️💕

    Football in Fort Lauderdale ⚽️

    Brief pit stop back in Fort Lauderdale to drop off the hire car and get the night bus up to Daytona. Ben found a LFC group for us to join for watching the Champions League game - kind of scary pub and people but great fun 😂 🍻 Officially our first ‘dive’ bar experience - sure there’s more to come!Meer informatie

    Daytona beach 🌴🌞

    Arrived in Daytona very early Wednesday 6th, so had some time to kill before we could check in to our Airbnb in Ormond. Had some delicious bagels, then read by the water for a few hours before heading there. Really cute little place at the back of someone’s home just a little out of town.     Jacksonville 💛

    Arrived on the Greyhound Saturday afternoon and headed to our Airbnb for the next two nights. Only really added Jacksonville to our route for the UFC event, but have ended up absolutely loving it 💛 UFC was great (despite all the trump supporters 😂) amazing atmosphere and made friends with some lovely people from Savannah. Sunday spent walking the beautiful river, enjoying some craft ciders and eating more pizza 🍕👍🏼 Monday we hire another car and head into the woods!Meer informatie

    Mount Mitchell Eco Retreat ⛰💛

    Without a doubt the best place we’ve stayed so far - absolutely beautiful! 🧡 Pretty much in the middle of nowhere, in the top left corner of North Carolina. Took a while to get here, but totally worth it! The lodge is huge, with a great main area for relaxing after being out hiking in the woods ☺️ 🥾Meer informatie

    Gatlinburg & The Smoky Mountains

    What a weird and wonderful place 😂 We had no idea we were arriving in Tennessee’s very own version of Ingoldmells 🍻 Found a place for Ben to watch the Liverpool game, and made some friends sampling thirteen different types of moonshine! Totally worth the hangover 😂Meer informatie

    Nashville 🤠🎶

    Crazy few days full to the brim with live music 🎶 Loved every second of Nashville and wish we could do it all over again! Wheeler Walker Junior gig, Country Music Hall of Fame, dodgy kareoke, questionable line dancing, and music pouring out of every corner of the city! 🙌🏼Meer informatie

    Memphis 🎷🎶

    Arrived in Memphis on a total high from Nashville, and at first couldn’t help but compare.. slightly rougher suburbs and motel not quite as nice, but after settling in, we’re totally sold. Actually prefer the blues and soul music here (makes a change from all the country!) so much live music on Beale Street! Found an incredible vegan cafe - best food we’ve had in the US so far 🌱 Had a brief trip out to Graceland too and saw Elvis’s home 💕Meer informatie

    First Fruits Farm - Mississippi

    Needed to break up the drive from Memphis to New Orleans, so we found a random spot en route! A very cute place on a blueberry farm in rural Mississippi - absolutely gorgeous. Calm before the storm of New Orleans! The Airbnb host even baked us some blueberry muffins 💕Meer informatie

    New Orleans 🎺🎶

    Best people, best music, best city! Managed to time our visit to New Orleans with the French Quarter Festival - so much fun. Stayed in a great hostel full of other travellers from all over - spent every evening in the garden there and then going out on Bourbon & Frenchman Street 🎶 The festival opened with a second line parade through the city, full of brass bands and colourful outfits! Absolutely in love with this city 💛Meer informatie

    Houston 🌆

    Travelled over on the Amtrak train from New Orleans for a day in Houston, before heading across to Austin. Didn’t want too much time in Houston as we’ve been told by various Americans that there is not a huge amount going on (which was true), but had a lovely day regardless 💛 Amazing street art and beautiful gardens 🌵Meer informatie

    Austin 🛤

    Absolutely love Austin - both decided if we were to move over here this would be where we’d live 💛 Very modern, welcoming city, with a more liberal feel than much of southern America. Great bars, music and comedy scene, and so much green space surrounding the city for hiking and running - so beautiful. Saw some comedy, had a dance lesson, ate a mountain of Mexican food, and walked for miles and miles each day! 🥾Meer informatie

    Las Vegas 💃🏻

    Just an absolute party of a few days 😂 Stayed at Excalibur which we LOVED. The tackiest hotel on the strip which was like a bigger and better version of The Suncastle 😂 Loved our few days in Vegas, what an incredible landscape in the desert too. The Cirque Du Soleil show was probably the best show we’ve ever seen - amazing acrobatics and stunts. Will most certainly be back one day, but with a bigger budget!Meer informatie
