Contiki Check In

With very detailed instructions from PJ, I made my way from Alton on the train to London Waterloo Station, then navigated the tube from Leicester Square to Russell Square. Short walk and I'm at the Royal National Hotel.

I checked in and my roommate, Matthew, is from Wales, but he's going on a different tour that also leaves tomorrow. This means that my tent-mate is still TBD. I met some other Contiki'ers (2 American girls, and guys from South Africa, Wales, and Australia) for a walk around some of London with the Welsh guy as our pseudo tour guide (funny, since my previous tour guide, PJ, also lived in Wales). We hit Trafalgar Square and Big Ben, which I'd already seen, but the route we took was quite different. A fair trek, but back in time for a shave and the Big Chill Kick Off Meeting!

Kick Off Meeting went well! Met some other people from Wales, as well as Aussies, New Yorker, and fellow Canadians (Vancouver and London, Ont). Early to bed because we are meeting in the courtyard (of course, we are in England) at 6am.Baca lagi
