There are points of the narrows that feel very… narrow. I tried to take a few good pictures for reference of how tight it was in places, but it really doesn’t do it justice. The crack itself wasn’t very long, and probably only takes about 10 – 15 minutes in total to walk through, but how tight it is makes it feel longer.Read more

Traveler Great scenery. Love the livestock guardian dog laying by the roadside. Amazon to see the blazing white bark of the birch trees among all the fall colors. Nice

Las Vegas night live

We made it through the insane traffic. After it took us some time to get our rooms, we went out for an amazing dinner. Wolf & Sparrow was a great choice.
Afterward, we got back to downtown to see at Spiegelworld "Absynth". It was a Cabaret show with a lot of acrobatics.
At light night we just walked around and enjoyed the fabulous city by night.Read more

On the road to Pioneer town, there's a lot of dessert to cross.
We drove for a good while on the Route 66, a very lonely drive. Make sure you have water, some snacks, and enough gas.
Beautiful landscapes passing by, and you're getting excited when you see a train.Read more

Very late yesterday, we arrived at Pioneer town motel. A real cozy place.
Went to the saloon for a quick but very delicious meal and retired for the night.

Joshua Tree NP

Today's highlight is to explore Joshua Tree National Park. Also, one of the parks they fully open during the government shutdown.
We did several of the shorter hikes to enjoy a very unique nature.
Looks like National Parks are great spots if you want to get rid of your loved ones. Today, another family send their kids out to explore the area and crawl in between the rocks. I mentioned again that there might be some very venomous snakes.
Every time, they are surprised. I know for Europeans nature is your friend. There are no real life treats in Europe's nature, but just read the signs.Read more

Queen Mary

We took the opportunity to stay the night before the cruise on board the Queen Mary. This former ocean liner was transformed into a hotel, event, museum, and wedding location.
They kept the very unique Charme, this ship had it the past. The exhibition was spread all over the place and integrated into the guests' stay.

Carnival Radiance from L.A.

Boarding the Carnival Radiance in LA. Start for 4 days on sea to get to the Hawaiian islands.
Playing board games and jig saw puzzles, shows, good food, and dancing
Just enjoying the time on board.

Maui/ Kahului, Road to Hana

Today, we arrived on Maui.
After we got off the ship, we took an Uber to the airport and picked up our rental car for the day.
We decided to follow the road to Hana. It took us the whole day to get on narrow, small streets through the mountains to Hana.
This trip is not about to reach Hana. It's about the adventure. Seeing the waterfalls, the views, the beaches.

Today, we arrived in Honolulu. With our rental car, we drove along the coastline and saw beautiful beaches, went up in the mountains. One stop was a ranch that offered tours of the original environment of the Jurassic Park movies. We didn't have the time to get on a tour. We also stopped at the biggest pineapple farm, Dole.

We had a wonderful road trip on Kauai. It got us high up in the mountains to a very beautiful state park.
The views were stunning.
On the way back, we stopped at Poipu beach. During our time there, we saw two big sea turtles resting on a little bank close to the beach.Read more

We're very excited. Today, we are going to see an active volcano. From the port, it was a 45 min drive. Due to the lockdown, the entrance was free. Some of the areas were closed. For us, it is a unique experience to see this National Park. Of course, I got my stamp, sticker, and token.
We had a very exciting day, trying to see as much as we can consider the time we need to be back on the ship in time.Read more

Chicago River Cruise

Yesterday we arrived at our friend's house, about an hour with public transport from Chicago downtown.
Since everyone was busy, we took the train back and rushed from Union station to catch a river cruise. We learned a bid deal about architecture, history, and trivia about the city.
There is more than one cruise line, but our guide nailed it.
