Day 2 - Penguins

Saw Penguins (very cute and chill), lizards and Cape rock Hyrax. Also Baboons by the road.

Giant seaweeds.

Day 2 - Hermanus

Ate supernice seafood at Bientangs cave (so good oysters). Waiters were surf people and used words like "grub" 🤙.

Saw more Cape rock hyraxes.

Klipgat Cave

Visited the nature reserve by klipgat cave. First we walked outside of it taking lots of pictures in the fynbos.

Cool Cave and supernice beach where we swam for the first time in the ocean.

Day - 2 Evening

I could not read a map so we suddenly saw ourself on a red dirtroad. I got out and drove for the first time, big ranches and really bumby roads. We also suddenly stopped because we saw some owls.

Arrived in agulhas after dark. Bought pizza at the pub Crafty pig where we watched some rugby.En savoir plus

Day 3 - Cape Agulhas

The most southern point of the African continent. We saw a cool shipwreck and then went to the Cape Point. There we climbed out over the rocks to get as close to the most southern tip as possible.

Then we got breakfast, toasts with scrambled eggs and lots of cheese.En savoir plus

Day 3 - Driving

Long day of driving through Africa. Saw Elephants by the road!

Very diverse landscape from mountains, to swamps to nature looking like North America.

Eating lunch at the mall as a break.

Day 3 - Tenikwa wildlife center

Arrived at the bnb. Big house with a Dutch hippie owner. View over a canyon of jungle, absolutely amazing.

Then we went to a wildlife center with big cats, saw for example Cheetah, white lion and caracarl. Also meerkats, very cute.

We found a small path that went down a bit but then vinded back up to the owners place.

Had some fastood with the view of the Jungle.En savoir plus

Day 4 - Monkeyland

Went to monkeyland. Absolutely amazing, so many different monkeys and lemurs. Huge spider monkeys, one blocked the big hanging bridge.

Also mosquitoes, both I and Elin got eaten.

When leaving we saw baboons, one where sitting in a chair under the shadow of a tree.En savoir plus

Day 4 - Tsitsikamma national park
23 janvier 2023, Afrique du Sud
Super warm day. We arrived and went into the beautiful nature. On the way we saw a snake.

Then we passed two hang bridges over the water, Elin posed some.

I went out on a big rock, at first without any care in the world. Then my fair of heights kicked in and i went back with a lot more care.

We hiked up the mountain to reach a marked viewing point, which took a lot of effort. I hit my head on a branch. We found a bench where we took a break and saw a seal in the ocean.
Then Elin being actually smart understood that this was not the real viewing point so we moved on and found it. On the way down we saw a sunbird.

Lastly we stripped down and took a refreshing swim in the sea water.En savoir plus

Day 4 - Stormsrivier

We stopped for a nice lunch in Stormsrivier. There was a cool 50s diner but we were in a mood for something else. I got fish and chips. The girls in the restaurant sang Miley cyrus latest hit.

Day 4 - Kudu ridge game lodge

Long day of driving, we saw one car overtaking a truck and then a car overtaking that car simultaneously, crazy.

We arrived to the game lodge. Lovely tents
And hosts.

During the evening there were an amazing thunder storm, literally lightnings on three out of four sides. The hosts told us that kind of weather is really unusual in Addo.

When going to sleep i found a bug on my pillow, not fond of that. Elin laughed.En savoir plus
