Pride & views from the 102nd floor

Staying in west midtown at the cutest hotel, we headed out for some food and a long walk and spontaneously went up the Empire State Building ($175USD 😳). Views were amazing and stomach wrenching. And we spied two rats and a cucaracha. No photos of the rodent pests yet. My mission!Read more

Big bus tour, 9-11 and Cabaret

A very full day! Thank you Stan, for the Big Red Bus tour recco - we went around all downtown and hopped off to visit Ground zero and the 9-11 site. We had some very very greasy pizza and burned it off walking across the Brooklyn Bridge (took an hour there and back). It’s quite hot here so we indulged in a refresher at the Five and Dime. Back on the bus to finish the tour then hotel, shower and onto Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club. Camera stickers were enforced so no footage but if you caught the Tony’s, the opening scene was unveiled (with Eddie Redmane and Bebe Neuwirth). It was a great show !Read more

Wednesday at the park and Yankee Stadium

Nothing on the schedule today other than tickets to watch the Yankees play the Orioles at 7 PM in the Bronx. We walked through Central Park, that’s a photo of the archway where John Lennon was shot at the Dakota building, we had a delicious meal at Tavern on the Green but I didn’t take any photos for Chanelle. we had drinks across from Carnegie Hall on our walk home. was drippy hot, and the garbage is really piling up. Taking the subway here is so easy, you just need a credit card or debit card to tap to pay and it’s $2.90. No joke, why other cities make it so hard? The Yankees lost in extra innings.Read more

Yoga in Times Square at 930am is possibly the worst way to do yoga. But taking a boat to Liberty Island was a cool breezy option. She didn’t disappoint

Chelsea market and rhe Highline -

After the Battery Hot park, we Uber’d it to Chelsea Market. Sadly our lunch was on the south side of meh 😢 but I recovered with some vegan soft serve and halva crumbles. YUM. Then walked the highline which is amazing. Just amazing. And allowed us to escape much of the sun and steamy heat of the streets.Read more
