Day 44: To Trabaldelo

Left Villafranca on a grey morning which later turned to rain forcing me to stop and put on full rain gear for first time. Much of the walk was beside a road on one side and a river on the other. Higher up was a main road with several tunnels carved through the mountain. Rain stopped long enough for me to get washing done and will hope the rain stays off till it's dry. Looking forward to home cooked evening meal by Susi who is Australian. Only 10 single beds here and I have an alcove.
From tomorrow there is a series of very steep climbs reaching 1297m. Came here on recommendation of Fraser who stayed here and which also gets extremely good reviews.Read more
