OK mall, with decent stores, and some American fast food places to eat if the Scottish food becomes a bit mundane. :)

Architecture is very nice, lots of ooold buildings. :) This church was closed when we were walking by, couldn't check it out in detail. :(

Market only Sundays 10am-5pm.
Update- closes at 4pm, found out when got there at 4:10 :( From the looks of it, it is a huge flea market. Might be a good Sunday outing, walking distance (~30 minutes) from the University.Les mer

Update- looks more interesting than it tastes. Will probably end up in McDonalds again, so will probably have a chance to try some other burgers...

Huge bus station near university

Terminus for Glasgow Airport Express bus. This is just a few blocks away from the University, either the residence or our class-room. This would be the easiest thing to do if you are arriving from the airport.Les mer

Very peaceful and quiet. It's between semesters right now, so I would expect it to be like that in August as well.

According to the lady, the caf likely won't be open on August, but the pub will be. Grocery stores nearby with a few minute walk.

These are some pictures of the inside of the residences. 4 rooms per "unit", all private, with a sink. Common kitchen & washrooms. The "units" are actually much nicer than what I expected, the photos don't give across the actual "look and feel" of the units. Complete with dining table, couches, etc.

The Kitchen is fully equipped, stove, fridge, microwave, dishes, etc etc.

The entire campus is covered by EduRoam, so you can just join it with your SFU credentials. So internet is not an issue.Les mer
