Rainy day so decided to visit Hexham. Had a little walk in the town and then visited the abbey, quite big and over 1300 years old
A bit of a pit stop for a sit down and a drink, Mum had a pot of tea, (milk poured before the tea) I had a Diet Coke and flapjack, very nice.
Did the Bull Crag peninsula circular walk. Just over 10km but all on a very well maintained track by the reservoir and through woods. A very nice walk on a lovely sunny day

A bit misty this morning but some nice photos
From the car park worked our way up to Hadrians wall and after some steep inclines passed crag lough.
Left the wall behind us and headed back to the car via Vindolanda Roman remains. More great scenery but getting very tired. Will need to come back another day to have a look around the remains.

ResenärThe moors were hugely huge. Not much traffic, saw no hikers, a few cars pulled over in lay-by s to take a few photos. Amazing drive for a sunny, clear day.
ResenärOur accommodation is very nice. Beautiful view. I hope its quiet.
