We are spending the day in Aberdeen exploring the city which is on the coast. It has special significance to me as this was the home of my Grandparents and Great Grandparents etc etc. We have visited where they lived (one of them is now just a garden) Bon Accord (the name) is also significant as this was the name of family farms here and in NZ. We saw the name and the red emblem everywhere.
Aberdeen has stunning old buildings and we enjoyed a coffee along the beach. We took a stroll to see some famous past people of Scotland, William Wallace (refer Braveheart movie) and Robert the Bruce (a famous King who fought for Scotlands independence against England)Read more
