  • Last day in Sandy Cape

    22. mars 2022, Australia ⋅ 🌙 23 °C

The last day in Sandy Cape. This morning we went for a walk up to the lookout again and a bit of an explore 😀 such a view from up there 😍 we then headed back and made cheeseburgers for lunch 😋 then we decided to head to the pub in Jurien Bay one last time as it got very windy in the afternoon. We enjoyed a couple of beers and watched the cricket. Still windy when we got back so we watched the sunset made a platter up of cheeses etc and enjoyed a games night in of UNO, go fish and draughts. I remain UNO champion 🏆 😆Les mer

  • From Sandy Cape to Geraldton

    23. mars 2022, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

Very sad to leave Sandy Cape but will definitely be going back...when the weather is nice it's perfect 🥰
We popped into Lehman it was a lovely seaside town the waterfront was spectacular someone takes alot of care with those gardens. Then drove through Port Denison and stopped for lunch at a gorgeous little place in Dongara. Dongara is also home to the not so giant Lobster 😆
Now in Geraldton will be here until Sunday.

  • Geraldton 23rd-27th March

    24. mars 2022, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 33 °C

Our time in Geraldton was fantastic. I managed to get a hair appointment and brows done...YAY!! we went out for lunch at Hog's Breath. Spent time at the waterfront and checked out the leaning tree. We stayed right on the beach in Geraldton and it was windy initially but the last couple of days although a few showers it was not very windy which was nice ❤Les mer

  • Kalbarri

    28. mars 2022, Australia ⋅ ⛅ 25 °C

Beautiful day out from Lucky Bay. We visited the not so Pink Lake 💗 it looks Pink from some places but mostly not pink 😆
We went to the national park, natures window, natural bridge, blue holes, the skywalk and Red Bluff as well as a beer at a local Kalbarri pub. Loved it here although they are still really struggling and rebuilding from the cyclone 🌀 😢Les mer

  • Shark Bay and surrounds

    30. mars 2022, Australia ⋅ ☁️ 28 °C

Well today we set off relatively early. It was an emotional start to the day to be honest a beautiful baby kangaroo had been hit by a car and left for dead even though he was clearly alive and struggling...I called parks and wildlife and they came and put the poor baby to rest...RIP little one I'm sorry I couldn't save you 💔

On a brighter note though we did visit Shell Beach and a few other places such as Little Lagoon and the thong shack 😆 along the peninsula, saw heaps of sharks but no turtles 👎 but hopefully soon!! Went to Monkey Mia but to be honest they wanted to much money even just to look around so we left but did see a family of emus which was beautiful 😍
On our entrance to camp we found out there were artisan hot baths...it was HOT but we went anyway...I was looking at pictures etc in the display when a snake...yes a snake 🐍 fell down so we bolted out of there 😆😆😆
All in all a memorable day I just wish people could be more kind and show a little compassion ❤️

  • Early departure🌧

    31. mars 2022, Australia ⋅ 🌧 25 °C

Well the rain came and didn't stop..
With that we had to leave our beautiful campsite and try to make it to Hamelin Pool.

We did make it and stayed at the roadhouse there...it was flooding but we were comfortable and were able to get a hot meal.

So sad to leave Big Lagoon early..these pics from the morning we left it was glorious 💙

  • NWC highway/Carnarvon

    1. april 2022, Australia ⋅ 🌧 26 °C

Interesting but nerve wracking trip up the north west coastal highway...
Lots of water rain and water crossings. Later in the day they closed the road so grateful to have made it to Carnarvon. We loaded up on fuel and supplies washed my hair 🤪 and stayed at a beautiful caravan park which later flooded but we were safe and well looked after 🙂Les mer

  • Carnarvon to Winderabandi

    3. april 2022, Australia ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

3 nights at Winderabandi ❤ to say it was hectic to get here would be a bit of an understatement it was so wet after all of that rain I reckon we did over 100 water crossings some over half a metre deep there were actually moments when I didn't think we'd make it through 😬
Was it worth it yes!!! Beautiful amazing spot right on the beach...weather Beautiful 😍 there had been a recent coral fish kill though so the water was a bit cloudy so no snorkelling. Swimming was good though and from the beach/campsite we watched turtles, dolphins, jumping fish, stingrays and even sharks 🦈 😑 lots of crabs too 🦀 brilliant spot 👌

  • Winderabandi

    4. april 2022, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

Interesting day today...there was an expected tidal surge...things got interesting thats for sure we had to build a little sand barrier and move our van back...apparently very rarely happens...must be us 😬😆😆 anyway enjoyed some fresh squid for lunch and delicious chicken burgers for dinner and the sunset was pretty speccy too...tomorrow if we don't get washed away overnight we are down the road to South Lefroy another beach camp. Ps we saw heaps of dolphins today they were everywhere chasing the leaping fish....pretty cool 🌊Les mer

  • Winderabandi to South Lefroy

    5. april 2022, Indian Ocean ⋅ ☀️ 29 °C

Left beautiful Winderabandi and made our way not too far down the road to South Lefroy. Winderabandi was such a beautiful beach ⛱️
The water though at South Lefroy is so BLUE 🌊 our campsite was on the beach again but a bit further back...but still perfect we enjoyed a couple of days walking the beach, swimming and relaxing it was bliss 😊Les mer

  • Onlsow

    16. april 2022, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 32 °C

    So hot today 😓
We went out to Old Onslow township site for a look very interesting...no photos as I was getting smashed by mozzies 😆
Went out for brunch enjoyed the best chicken burger I think we've ever had at the Beach Club Onslow and the service was brilliant. Came back to park and chilled out for the rest of the day as it is hot hot 🔥 🥵Les mer

  • Leaving Onslow to Dampier

    18. april 2022, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 34 °C

After a beautiful Easter stay at Onslow it's time to move on. We left for Dampier about a 3 hour drive. The caravan park is very small in Dampier but we're pretty happy with the spot we chose online when booking 😊. We had no neighbours the entire 3 nights it didn't get windy 😀. It was beside a beautiful big gum tree and you could see the ocean. Dampier is tiny but a beautiful little town 10 minutes from Karratha. We chose to stay in Dampier as the CP in Karratha didn't look very good at all.Les mer
