Southampton

We were due to board the Ventura at 15.15, but received a message saying boarding had been delayed by two hours. Nonetheless, we set off to put us in Southampton in good time, dropped off the car and enjoyed a few beer flights at the fabulous Dancing Man brewery just outside the port. Turns out boarding was delayed due to an outbreak of gastroenteritis on the previous cruise, so when we did finally board, the safety and hygiene protocols were very high. We have a fabulous cabin with a huge balcony! And after a pre-dinner drink, we went to the restaurant to enjoy the slowest meal we had ever experienced on a cruise...sigh. Nonetheless, we depart Southampton and are on out way!
