Atomium in Brussels

We couldn't decide what we wanted to do today...lazy day on the ship? Walk to Blankenberge? Train to Bruges, or Ghent, or Brussels? Shore excursion to Ypres? In a snap decision over breakfast we decided to see if there was space on the bus to Brussels. They handwrote us a ticket on the dockside and off we went!

Our delightful guide Roland narrated the route in with a history of Belgium, beer, taxes and language. Off the ring road, we stopped at the Atomium, and iron molcule blown up 165 billion times, 120m tall, and built for the 1958 World Fair, something Ben delighted in!
