We stayed on the shuttle boat back by an extra stop to visit the town of La-Seyne-sur-Mer. It was a rather short stop with little there and less open! However, the street art was fantastic.

In to France today and the port of La Seyne-sur-Mer for Toulon. Rather than pay $78 for a Princess boat across the water to Toulon, we walked ten minutes around the port to the public water taxi. Same Czytaj więcej
Winding further through the baroque streets and the Porta Soprana, we stopped by Christopher Columbus' house, before looping back to the Via Garibaldi. This street had palace next door to palace all Czytaj więcej
Off the harbour, the buildings in Genoa tower in a rambling fashion creating alley upon alley with only slits of light at the top. We navigated through these following an online walking route past to Czytaj więcej
Just outside the port, the stanchions holding up the main road were all wonderfully painted. Our walk along the harbour front also took us past the half marathon runners, braving the grey skies on Czytaj więcej
Our half day in Pisa gave us plenty of time to enjoy the ship in the afternoon. We nabbed a cabin in the Hollywood Club overlooking the port and city. The hour we spent in the glass-roofed pool was Czytaj więcej
Ben found that the Pisa was the birthplace of Galileo, so we headed to the house in which he was born, passing a beautiful little church on the way. The house itself is marked with a plaque and has Czytaj więcej
On our way back through Pisa, we happened on the fabulous shop of a local artist. He has apparently just completed his History degree at the University of Pisa and his art reflects local and regional Czytaj więcej
Breakfast in the Deck 16 buffet had a lovely array of choice...and of course, Ben made eminently more sensible choices than I. The train strike was called off so we caught a complementary shuttle bus Czytaj więcej
